The Christmas spirit was back in evidence at Chalfont Lodge in Chalfont St Peter thanks to Beaconsfield High School pupils this week. Visiting every resident, the 23 pupils delivered presents continuing a festive tradition between the home and school.

Resident Hazel said: ‘it was marvelous, my daughter used to go to the school and it was so nice to chat to all the girls about their lessons, two of the girls are going to be doctors so I wish them all the best! They’re so kind and the fact they made a gift box for all of us made me quite emotional’.

The pupils took the time to open the gifts with nearly 100 residents plus to setting up and displaying in the residents rooms to their complete satisfaction. Resident John said: ‘I was completely surprised by how generous the girls are, it was so kind of them all. What a wonderful Christmas treat’.
