Rory Bean and the Reluctant Ghosts
A haunted pub, a reluctant ghost and one determined twelve-year-old – Beaconsfield author Trudie Thomas’ children’s book is a funny, spooky story about friendship, belonging and the meaning of home.
What would you do if your home was haunted – and getting rid of the ghosts was the only way to save it? For twelve-year-old Rory Bean, the answer is simple: he’ll do whatever it takes.
Suitable for readers aged 7 – 12, the book is an ideal first spooky read, with plenty of ghostly fun while also offering a sensitive way for parents and teachers to explore the emotional impact of moving home.
Author Trudie Thomas says: ‘My story is about friendship, belonging and what home really means, with lots of humour and plenty of creepy stuff to enjoy. And with Rory’s parents being chefs, there’s also lots of yummy food.’
